Winter in North Tahoe – Sierra Nevada

Winters in the Sierras are a bit much for the RV and its habitants, getting piles of snow burying most homes. All the parks close and we make our way down to Gold Ranch, at the CA/NV border. Gold Ranch Resort and Casino is about 20 minutes from Truckee and about the same to Reno Not sure where the resort part comes in, I guess the pool and hottub qualify. Casino, restaurant, convenience store,  gas station, and a fast food place. We plug-in, crank up the heaters and get to work. And after 3 or 4 days of being snowed in, we take the 4runner for a ride! Best is that we are close to Remi and Carla.
